BELLEVILLE, Wis. - A nation-wide search was under way Wednesday for two missing Wisconsin teens – one of them with strong connections to the Northland.
Larissa Aunet, 17, of Belleville, which is 20 miles south of Madison, frequently visits close family in Superior. Aunet's Mother, Rachel, told FOX 21's Dan Hanger that she was most recently in Superior this August.
Belleville authorities say Aunet and a friend, Josey Scoville, 17, went missing about a week ago.
Rachel says Larissa is a straight-A student and the whole disappearance does not make any sense.
"We have a very close relationship. I just can't see her leaving and not being in any type of contact with us, family, any of her friends that she is normally with. I just can't see her not being in contact with anyone," Larissa's mom explained to FOX 21 News Wednesday night.
The teens were last seen in a 1998 SAAB with Wisconsin license plate 911 TYG.
