Plane Makes Emergency Landing at Duluth Intl. Airport

An Allegiant Airline taking off from Duluth International Airport Friday night had to make an emergency landing after reports of an engine failure.
An official with the Duluth Airport Authority said there was some type of Engine failure shortly after take-off from the airport. They were heading to Las Vegas.
146 people were on board, including passengers and crew members.
The plane ended up landing safely just before 9 p.m.
Passengers told FOX 21 they heard a loud boom after taking off.
The Air National Guard, Duluth Fire Department and surrounding police and fire emergency crews were all on scene as the plane prepared to land.
No passengers were injured. They will all be back on a flight at 2:30 p.m. Saturday to Las Vegas.
