DULUTH - Duluth's Park and Recreation board has decided to move forward with plans for Washington Square.
It's part of the mini–master parks plan. You can find it off Superior Street and 43rd Avenue East.
Plans for it were presented two months ago, but they were tabled so more research could be done to determine how many tennis courts would be part of the final plan.
"There's really three options that the park commission can look at, which would be the original two tennis courts, a compromise of one tennis court and then no tennis courts," said Kathy Bergen, parks and recreation manager.
The board approved the motion for one tennis court. The Washington Square plan will now go before the city council.
