LAKE COUNTY - Police identified the victim in a fatal accident that happened on Highway 61 in Lake County on Friday.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Caitlin Kelly, 19, of Northfield, died after her car spun out and went sideways causing another vehicle to hit Kelly’s vehicle on the passenger side.

Police say it happened around 3:00 p.m. near mile post 33.

Kelly was the only person in her vehicle at the time.

The driver and passenger of the other car were Paul Drindak, 62, and Linda Drindak, 61, of Thunder Bay.

Linda had non-life threatening injuries while Paul had no apparent injuries.

Police say the road conditions were icy.
