DULUTH - A group formed outside of Bentleyville on Saturday night to ask that preachers to stay outside of the light display.
The protest comes after a federal judge ruled that preachers are allowed inside the event to distribute materials, even though the event's organizer didn't want them there.
The group said it’s not the preachers message they're against but the way they're going about it.
"We'd love to hear what people have to say but it's kind of weird to have to sit next to somebody that you're just trying to have a cup of hot cocoa with and celebrate the holidays with everybody and not just one particular group," Brandon St. Germaine said.
The event's organizer said he'll decide whether or not to continue to annual display later this winter.
