HANCOCK - A Democrat from Calumet has announced his run for Michigan's 110th District House seat.
Scott Dianda is a former business owner and highway maintenance worker.
He says he'll do all he can to "fix our broken legislature” and "stop the abuse of our middle and working class citizens."
He says he'll also focus on supporting the mining, timber, manufacturing and tourism industries.
The 110th district stretches from Keweenaw County to Iron County in the Upper Peninsula.
