Sen. Franken Pushes for Education Reform

Minn. Sen. Al Franken spoke out Wednesday about his continued fight to reform No Child Left Behind.
He's pushing to pass a new bill that he calls a complete fix, like including computerized testing (CAT) that would give immediate digital results of a student's abilities, allowing the teacher to tailor lesson plans to the classroom and individual students instead of requiring a standard proficiency for that grade level.
"I've always thought a sixth grade teacher who takes a kid from a third grade level of reading to a fifth grade level of reading is a hero," Franken said.
