DULUTH - Skiiers, snowboarders and people who enjoy the scenery have a new place that may be worth checking out.

Spirit Mountain's chalet off of Grand Ave. is set to open on Monday.

On Friday, finishing touches were being put on the new building that houses meeting areas and a bar and grill.

The restaurant and building will be open year–round and will continue to be used for summer camps and other activities.

"So it really serves multiple purposes," said Briana Johnson from Spirit Mountain. "We've even got some weddings booked this coming summer, so we're excited for this building to get all kinds of use."

The new chalet will officially open at 8:30 a.m. Monday and a grand opening celebration is set for the Feb. 24.
