DULUTH - Generous Northland grocery shoppers donated more than $10,000 to help local families in need.
When Super One shoppers bought a $1.00 ornament over the past four weeks, the money was donated to the Solvay Hospice House.
The Miller-Dwan Foundation has partnered with Super One for the last five years and organizers say they've raised more than $30,000.
"We're so fortunate because we have a wonderfully generous community and there are so many people whose lives have been touched through Solvay, so to see them come out to support us and spend that extra dollar when they're buying groceries we really appreciate it," Executive Director of the Miller-Dwan Foundation, Traci Marcinia, said
The money will be used to provide high-quality care for patients and families.
