SUPERIOR - There was a sense of relief Monday night for parents and teachers in the Superior School District.
School–day hours will not be cut at least for now.
Board members say they've found a significant unanticipated savings that'll happen after a renewal of the district's health care plan.
This means no teachers will be laid off and school hours will remain the same for the 2012-2013 school year.
But one board member stressed the budget problem isn't going away.
"Fortunately we found other ways.Other years we may not be fortunate. So please understand this board is looking for ways to keep these cuts out of your childrens classrooms and your jobs in Superior," said school board member Christina Kintop.
Class sizes are also already at capacity.
