Superior Students Raise Nearly $1,200 in Annual Telethon

SUPERIOR - Students in Superior spent their Saturday to try and get callers to help spread holiday cheer for those in need. Superior High School students hosted their 5th Annual Telethon.
The student- run broadcast went on from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. and featured live music, magicians and a visits from the mayor and school leaders.
Money that was raised from the telethon will benefit local families through the Salvation Army's Holiday Food Box Program.
"It helps get that end of the year push going last year they raised $1700 which helped the salvation army get back into the black which I think is good for them," Jeff Rosburg, a teacher, said.
Students raised $1,180 in the telethon.
