SUPERIOR - It's a day first responders in Superior will never forget.
Six new firefighters were sworn in at a ceremony Thursday afternoon. Two current firefighters were promoted to captains, and the city's new fire chief, Steve Panger, is also rising in the ranks.
"Mayor and council, it is an honor to have the support of such a good group who have continually been able to work through tough issues to move this city in a positive direction," said new Superior Fire Chief, Steve Panger.
Panger has been a member of the Superior Fire Department for 19 years, serving as captain and battalion chief.
