GRAND RAPIDS - A trial is now set for a Big Forks couple facing charges for allegedly abusing animals.
Laura and Joshua Anderson are facing 34 counts each of animal cruelty, overwork and mistreatment of animals, and depriving them of food and shelter.
The couple had 146 animals on their property.
Officials say they were malnourished, had inadequate shelter, some were tied to very short leashes and dogs were fed with dead deer carcasses.
Their trial starts October 10th.
