DULUTH - A lot of folks have new kittens and puppies in their homes all thanks to an event that celebrated the animals living in area shelters on Saturday.
Miller Hill's annual “Love-A-Pet" event provided animals with micro-chipping, allowing owners to track their pets if they ever get lost.
Area vendors were also baking up some dog treats that were not only edible for K-9s but humans too.
“This is our fifth year, it's a great partnership and were able to bring a lot people together to see the animals that are available at our two shelters and lots of puppies and kitties and dogs and cats on hand,” said John Gustafson, director of development and communications.
If you missed your chance to adopt on Saturday, they will be there again on Sunday at the Miller Hill Subaru in Duluth from 11-4.
