DULUTH - It's now easier for a Northland animal shelter to clear the way for pets to get out and exercise this winter.
A couple of volunteers at Animal Allies in Duluth have donated a brand new snow blower for the shelter to clear its mile and a half long trail.
Volunteers use it to walk the animals daily.
"Now, we have staff and volunteers who have equipment right here so when we have a snow storm they're right at it and we're able to get the dogs out and enjoy the weather," said John Gustafson, director of development and communications at Animal Allies Humane Society.
Before the donation, volunteers had to bring their own equipment to help clear the trails.
