DULUTH - Tax season officially starts on Wednesday and some people are scrambling for help from a local program.
Community Action Duluth hosted its first free tax clinic allowing up to 40 low income tax payers to meet with financial councilors to get the job done for free.
It was so popular the line full of people stretched out the door.
“People are really grateful for this service; you can see a lot of need. We'll do between 1,500 to 1,600 tax returns this year,” financial counselor Julia Cheg, said.
Tax clinics will also be held on Monday and Wednesday at Laura McArthur School and on Thursday at the Ordean Building.
