Well-known Chisholm Basketball Coach Injured in Crash

HIBBING - A well-known Iron Range basketball coach was seriously injured when his van hit a front end loader.Seventy-nine year old Robert McDonald of Hibbing was driving south on Highway 169 when the crash happened shortly after six p.m. Thursday night.
Authorities say McDonald rear ended then construction front end loader.
McDonald has coached the Chisholm Blue Streaks for more than 50 years and has had more than 950 wins as their coach.
Officials at the Fairview University Medical Center in Hibbing say he's in serious condition there.
The 19 year old driver of the front end loader was not injured.
