DULUTH - Yeti was spotted at a local restaurant Friday, not causing any trouble, but in fact helping to raise money for a good cause.
It’s the third annual Yeti Night to kick off the Yeti Tour Snowmobile Ride.
A local couple started the event three years ago to raise money for the March of Dimes.
People came out to indulge in all you can eat pizza at the Sunset Bar and Grille.
“Our first two sons have passed from birth defects and our second baby was 3 months early and lived for six days. And we have 2 living sons, who were both pre-term. So we do this event to help out the March of Dimes so that one day all children will be born healthy,” Kelly Alvar, founder of the event, said.
The two-day, 200-mile snowmobile ride travels through Northern Minnesota, and this year’s ride is set to be held on Jan. 26 -- dependding on the weather.
Merchandise and raffle tickets can also be purchased anytime on their website, www.yetitour.com.
