All summer, tourists travel to Bayfield, Wisconsin and there is one place they stop to get a real taste of the town.
"We have fresh fish every day, we work with all the fisheries in the area... So fresh white fish, trout and smoked fish as well, we get that daily," said co-manager of Pier Plaza Restaurant, Janine Johnson.
Fish isn't the only thing coming to the restaurant fresh either.
"We also get berries from the orchards. Right now we have fresh strawberries in season, so we've incorporated that into our menu," said Johnson.
If you're looking for history in Bayfield, the Pier Plaza Restaurant and Pickled Herring Lounge has it.
"We have been on this corner for almost 60 years, so we definitely take pride in the business and love the community and love all the visitors that come here," said Johnson.
The restaurant will close for November and Decemeber but until then it's a perfect place to enjoy the final days of summer.
"If you're out on the patio here you get to just sit and relax, enjoy a meal, or a beverage, or a dessert watch the boats come in," said Johnson.
