SUPERIOR - As deer hunters prepare for opening day, there are a couple problems that could damper the firearms season.
Store owners tell FOX21, the deer population being down is not the only problem.
“The biggest problem we’ve been facing this year, of course, is the ammunition shortage. There’s not a lot and people have been adapting to that as well. They can perhaps instead of taking one caliber, they are taking another caliber rifle out,” Pat Kukull, owner of Superior Shooters Supply, said.
Kukull said the shortage is an issue of supply and demand.
