DULUTH - Construction kicked off for a project not sitting too well with some downtown businesses.
Crews started taking down the AT&T tower which will close off a portion of West First Street.
Businesses along that block tell FOX 21 they would have appreciated more than a weeks notice about the construction.
They worry the project will cause issues with parking and slow down business.
"I'm hoping it won't, I'd like to say it won't but you never know," said Rachel Nelson with Protein Pub. "Maybe new people won't walk in as much cause they'll see this construction and want to go somewhere else.” “I'm sure our regulars will continue to come."
The tear down is expected to take up to four weeks to complete.
