RICE LAKE TOWNSHIP – St. Louis County authorities say two Northland men are behind a stabbing and tried to cover it up by lighting the victim's car on fire.
Andre Anderson, 27, of Hermantown and Steven Hager, 39, of Duluth are accused of stabbing a 22-year-old Hermantown man multiple times last week on the 4000 block of Hicken Road in Rice Lake Township.
The victim's truck was stolen by the suspect and was later found on fire in Duluth, according to authorities.
Both men were arraigned on the following charges: aid and abet attempted murder in the 2nd degree, aid and abet assault in the 1st degree, aid and abet arson in the 2nd degree, aid and abet aggravated robbery in the 1st degree, and aid and abet theft of a motor vehicle.
Bail was set at $350,000 for Hager and $400,000 for Anderson.
At last check, the victim was in stable condition at Essentia Health St. Mary's Medical Center.
