SAWYER - Authorities are investigating a fire that left one person dead near Cloquet. Officials responded to blaze on Mission Road in Sawyer around 6 a.m. Thursday.

A cabin was destroyed in the fire, and a human body was discovered in the remains.

Positive identification of the remains is pending, and the matter remains under investigation.
