ASHLAND - Construction on a new waterfront development is coming along right on schedule.
Developers broke ground on Blue Wave on the Bay a few months ago.
It'll have a coffee shop, five high-end hotel rooms, a conference room, and rent outdoor equipment.
The hope is for the unique design to ‘wow’ tourists driving into Ashland.
"It reflects the imagery of a lot of things in the bay area like the big ore boats that used to come into the bay,” explained building designer, Brian Hagstrom. “Fish; has a bit of a nautical theme to it in a modern way."
The project costs $1.5 million and is funded privately.
A grand opening is scheduled for spring of 2015.
