DULUTH - Duluth's Park and Recreations Board continued its long look into the future of the city's many parks Tuesday night.
This time, the board made a stop in Gary New Duluth and it's part of the mini–master parks plan.
Community members were able to take a look at the proposed plans for the Gary Recreation Area, which could see the park add a community garden, as well as making the park a much safer one.
"The park is really divided in half by a road so we wanted to move all the recreational activities to one side of the road so that there would not be an issue of safety for the children," said Kathy Bergen, the City of Duluth's Park and Recreation Manager.
If the plan doesn't need too many tweaks it could go before the Parks Commission and City Council for final approval.
