DULUTH - Last week, a fire at the Lake Breeze Resort consumed the office, the owner’s home and three units.
The folks at the Clearwater Grille and Event Center are planning a benefit dinner next Saturday.
Also, the son of the Lake Breeze Resort works at the Clearwater Grille.
“We all sat together after we knew what had happened and said we’d like to do something, our entire management team was completely unanimous, and it was a no-brianer. We knew this was a chance to reach out. And we know people along the North Shore would do the same if it was us in the situation,” Jessica Fischer, banquet and event manager at the Clearwater Grille, said.
“We’re all part of a community up here in the North Shore. To have a tragedy happen like this to a family that is depending on it for their livelihood, not only their home, but their business, it’s all connected into one. So we decided the least we could do is pull everybody together and try to support them,” Molly Dollar, owner of the Clearwater Grille, said.
The spaghetti benefit dinner will be held at the Clearwater Grille next Saturday starting at 1 p.m.
A regular dinner ticket is $10, and donations will go towards the Hughes Family and their Resort.
