DULUTH - A judge has handed down a sentence to the man who started the Kozy apartments on fire last April. Fifty-six year old Mark Starkovich will have to spend 120 days in jail and serve one year of probation.
The former Kozy employee pleaded guilty to a negligent fires charge in February.
Another charge against him was dismissed as part of his plea agreement.
Surveillance cameras on the site recorded him messing with wiring and entering a laundry room full of storage he left quickly and a fire started burning soon after.
