Duluth Paper Mill Cuts 14 Jobs

DULUTH - A Duluth paper mill has cut its workforce. NewPage paper mill in West Duluth recently laid off five percent of its 282 employees.
That means 14 people have been let go.
The company made the cuts because of declining demand and they want to be able to sustain the business over the long term.
The company offered severance packages to the employees they let go.
The paper mill, which delivers products across the nation, recently celebrated their 25th anniversary in Duluth.
A company spokesman also said no further cuts are planned.
