DULUTH - With Duluth’s Lakewalk, freshwater beaches, and outstanding views the city is a prime place for out-of-towners to vacation.
Those reasons are why Explore Minnesota chose Duluth as the destination for this year's state tourism conference.
It kicked off Tuesday and runs through Wednesday afternoon.
At the conference, Explore Minnesota officially kicked off its 2014 campaign with the twitter hashtag #ONLYinMN.
“Duluth is such an iconic destination,” said Explore Minnesota’s director, John Edman. “It's only a couple hours away to be up here near the North Shore, and to experience things that they can't experience at home.”
With 350 guests in attendance for the meeting, it will pull in $260,000 of economic impact for Duluth.
