DULUTH – The All American’s club joined forces with the Blue Water Big Band from Duluth on Saturday to host a fundraiser for Veterans.
The duo was raising money for the Northland Honor Flights, a program that sends war veterans to the war memorials in Washington D.C.
"So many memories for the veterans,” said Jim Kriske, the President of the All Americans Club. “They come back so excited and so honored for serving their country."
Tickets for the spaghetti feed and concert were ten-dollars per person.
Veterans themselves even attended the event.
“It's hard to even talk about,” said Vietnam Veteran Brain Lindvall. “Them guys have up so much for us and the younger generation, they have no idea what's going on. And the more we spread this word around, it's unreal."
Lindvall will be leaving on an honor flight this June.
