DULUTH - Summer camps are in full swing, and this week at the College of St. Scholastica a group of girls is learning about the importance of technology.
So far, they've taken apart computers and made videos using iPads.
Coordinators say it's a way for them to have fun learning, and not be intimidated by science.
"For girls, we like to have this camp so that they don't get pushed out of the way by boys who are traditionally more interested in machines and technology," said Lisa Fitzpartick, camp leader and graphic artist at the University of Minnesota Duluth.
Later this week, the group will learn about computer programming and build robots.
