GREAT SCOTT TOWNSHIP - A man was taken into police custody Thursday evening, after reportedly holding a gun to another man's head and threatening to kill him.
The St. Louis County Sheriff's Office was called to the scene around 8:30 p.m. for a fireworks complaint at the 700 block of Sherwood Anderson Rd in Great Scott Township.
While authorities were driving to the scene, the caller drove to the area where fireworks were being released to confront the owners, and allegedly pulled out a handgun and pointed it to one of their heads.
Witnesses said he then threatened to kill the man infront of them.
Police took him into custody without incident. He remains in custody on charges of second-degree assualt, terroristic threats, and damage to property.
Several handguns were also taken by police from his home.
