DULUTH - The weather wasn’t the only thing that was feeling a little bit warmer on Sunday. Spirit Mountain gave a warm welcome to guests visiting their new chalet.
The ski hill opened the doors to the new building at the bottom the hill a couple weeks ago. But on Sunday they held their official bash for their fully functional chalet.
Employees also said the new building won't only be used during the winter.
“In the summer months, we'll be running some youth day camps out of this building along with our mountain bike operation and we'll be able to have chair lift access to mountain bike trails,” Briana Johnson, the Director of Marketing and Sales at Spirit Mountain, said. “So in addition to all the skier services and the restaurant, we'll really be doing a lot of things in this building and were really excited.”
The event included some activities, food, music and of course some fun on the slopes.
