DULUTH - A 20 year old playground at Lester Park has been replaced.
A project that was pushed to the side when the flood hit is now welcoming families and kids of all ages.
The park has been in the works for years as a collaboration of many different organizations.
"It was just such a pleasure to see everybody working together for the same goal which is just to have a nice park for kids and families," explained Duluth parks and recreation manager, Kathy Bergen.
The funding for the park came from the Duluth city park fund, but the community raised $9,000 that also went toward the project.
