DULUTH - Some of the Northland's peacemakers were honored in a big way Tuesday night.
It was all part of the 15th annual Men as Peacemakers awards ceremony.
Greg Morse won the Gary Gordon Peacemaker Award for his work with Duluth Public Schools as a teacher and the advisor for the Gay, Straight Alliance at East High School.
"This is an awesome opportunity to give people the recognition for what they do with our students in the city or as being a student at a high school and as well as being a community member or business that's active with our youth and community itself," said Morse.
Jeremy Lopez won the Steve Rolland Youth Peacemaker Award for showing leadership in the fight against bullying.
The group Loaves and Fishes took home the Men as Peacemakers Organizational Peacemaker Award for the strides they have made in providing housing, food, and friendship to thousands of people suffering from homelessness or fleeing political persecution or family violence.
