DULUTH - A 38-year-old man is in the hospital after crashing into the Chester Creek river on Saturday.
Police said they reposnded to a call of a parked vehicle being struck at the 500 block of N. 9th Ave. E.
Arriving at the scene police found that after hitting the car, the driver reportedly ran a stop sign, hit a power pole, a house and a fence, before crashing into the river.
He was taken to the hospital for non life-threatening injuries.
Authorities said trees had to be cut down before his vehicle could be removed.
Charges are pending, and the case remains under investigation.
