DULUTH – Once a small idea started by a few friends, the Perfect Duluth Day website now has its own day in Duluth.
Mayor Don Ness proclaimed today “Perfect Duluth Day” day, in celebration of the sites 10 year anniversary on Saturday.
“It brings forwards all the things that are great in Duluth, all the things that are weird in Duluth,” said Perfect Duluth Day President Paul Lundgren.
The website was started as a blog, keeping track of local events, and a place for people to network online before the time of Myspace or Facebook.
“People needed a place to get together online, and exchange ideas and network the way people do, the way everyone does now,” said Garret Chase, also a worker at Perfect Duluth Day.
