GRAND RAPIDS – Police arrested a 28-year-old man after they say he stabbed someone and fled the scene.
Authorities say it happened around 2:50 p.m. Tuesday on the 600 block of Pokegama Ave. North.
When police got to the scene, they learned a 22-year-old male had suffered a knife wound to his chest.
Officers then set up a perimeter in the area where the suspect had fled.
They later found him in a small wooded area near the scene.
Formal charges are pending.
The victim was taken to Grand Itasca Clinic and Hospital.
His condition is unknown.
