MILWAUKEE (AP) — A new survey shows the most affordable homes in Wisconsin are in Ashland.
And the most expensive houses are in the Milwaukee suburb of Whitefish Bay.
Coldwell Banker Real Estate compared the average listing price of a four-bedroom, two-bath home in more than 1,900 markets across the country.
In Wisconsin, the average price for a home that size was about $464,000 in Whitefish Bay and about $105,000 in Ashland.
The most expensive markets also include Mequon, Hudson, Hayward and Eagle River.
Besides Ashland, the least expensive markets include Merrill, Rhinelander, Wisconsin Rapids and Richland Center.
The Journal Sentinel (http://bit.ly/1a1wz6d ) says the survey shows the most expensive four-bedroom, two-bath home nationally is in Malibu, Calif., where the average listing price is $2.1 million.
