SUPERIOR - Each week the River Rovers Nature Playgroup will get together at Billings Park.
Kids ages 3 to 7 will participate in activities, crafts, games and stories.
All focused on the St. Louis River fresh water estuary and Lake Superior.
"We're right at the start of an enormous amount of fresh water,” Lake Superior National Estuarine Research Reserve education intern Meghan Burnham said. “It's important that we create awareness at a young age to create stewards in order to protect the quality of the water beginning at the St. Louis River."
The program is offered every Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon until the end of August.
