SUPERIOR - Friday, the Elks Lodge of Superior honored one of their own.
Paul Winterscheidt was awarded the Enrique Camarena Award.
It's an award recognizing an individual working hard to stop community drug trafficking.
“Our job is to get drugs off the street,” said Winterscheidt. “Hold people accountable and make it hard for drug dealers to do their business.”
“He has really made a difference in the amount of drugs that are available in the Twin Ports and specifically in the city of Superior,” expressed Superior Chief Charles LeGesse.
This isn't the first award Winterscheidt has received. He also has a lifesaving award for his work off duty, and two mayoral awards for his bravery on duty.
