DULUTH - Rare owls flock to the Northland once every few years from Canada in search of food, but some might not have found what they were looking for.
Minnesota DNR’s Duluth office said Thursday’s report of a dead Great Grey Owl makes it the third reported dead owl this year in the twin ports, two Great Greys and one Boreal.
The MN DNR said they are not sure of the cause of death, but starvation could be likely.
