DULUTH - We're about three quarters of the way through shipping season in the Twin Ports and so far port officials tell FOX 21 it's right on track with where it was last year. The top three resources being shipped out of the port are iron ore, coal and limestone.
That's estimated at more than 20 million tons.
The port is also seeing more grain shipments and heavy lifting equipment coming through the terminal.
"From what we're hearing everybody's operating at full strength right now so we really hope to have a strong finish to the 2013 season," said Adele Yorde with the Duluth Seaway Port Authority.
The shipping season for the port ends in January.
