SUPERIOR - Before this school year wraps up UWS is making big changes to its campus.
To an audience of more than 100, UWS’s chancellor, Renee Wachter, unveiled the new Superior Visions 2020.
It’s a Strategic Plan re–shaping the university's future direction.
The vision includes more community engagement, experimental learning for students, a more diverse student body and the creation of academic and non-academic programs and resources.
"All good businesses plan and they take into account the changing environment that they operate in and look at how to address challenges and opportunities and that's what this plan is doing," said Wachter.
UWS's old plan was developed in 2008.
The new vision took a year to develop and was put together by eight research teams, core steering and focus groups, businesses and community members.
Faculty will work on the new vision during the summer.
It will take up to three years to fully integrate.
