DULUTH - St. Louis County veterans left with full bellies after their 9th Annual Remembrance Dinner.
It was a chance to raise money to keep up the Veteran’s Memorial Hall.
It also marked the grand opening of the brand new research center dedicated to preserving the history of northeastern Minnesota veterans.
“The grandchildren of my grandchildren will be able to not only come and look at photographs of myself and see what their great, great, great grandfather had done,” said Dwight Nelson of Veteran’s Memorial Hall and the St. Louis County Historical Society.
“But also be able to hear what I had to say and to view videos,” he said.
Veteran’s Memorial Hall was established in 1909.
