DULUTH – Parents and kids gathered at the Duluth YMCA on Saturday to find summer activities.
The “Get a Jump on Summer” event was held to give kids a chance to sign up for activities that will be hosted throughout the northland this summer.
The day also featured a chance for kids to swim, go rock climbing, learn bike safety, and meet zoo animals.
“Get out, take your jump robe, take your kids outside and get fit and active,” said Mollie Nelson, a YMCA organizer.
“That’s really what we’re here for. Part of our mission is to promote healthy living.”
Fifteen venders were featured at the event.
The first five-hundred kids also got to take home free jump ropes.
