DULUTH - The Coast Guard was gearing up Friday for a busy Labor Day weekend of boaters.
The crew in Duluth said the holiday weekend is one of the busiest times on Lake Superior.
"Just be aware of where you are at, be aware of people around you -- even just make sure you are looking out for people on your own boat. Obviously, there's a lot of people out there this weekend -- just be careful," said Ensign Derrick Rockey, with the U.S. Coast Guard in Duluth.
The Coast Guard's biggest concern is boating and drinking, and they remind you if you get caught, the consequences are the same as getting a DUI in your car.
