DULUTH - A major operation is under way to remove snow banks on city streets.
Last week's snowstorm left nearly eight inches of snow that has now turned into ice.
Duluth Public Works crews are preparing to haul snow from sidewalks, streets and all business districts.
"We know it has a real positive impact on commerce and business and everything that goes on in these areas," said Kelly Fleissner with the Duluth Public Works. "We know it's going to be appreciated by the people that shop and do business."
The major snow hall will begin next Tuesday.
