DULUTH - The Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower will be getting a temporary makeover Saturday.
Charlene’s Light, a foundation for ovarian cancer, has partnered with the City of Duluth for a weekend of awareness with the "Duluth Turns Teal" event.
Events include a dinner cruise on the Vista Star Saturday, and a sale going on all weekend at the Season at the Barn.
“I go to the cities for my treatment, and it means a lot to bring awareness up here. I have a double specialist down there a gyno specialist. We had none in Duluth at all, we now have a brand new one up here, which is great news,” JoAnn Bollman, survivor and owner of Season at the Barn, said.
Mayor Don Ness proclaimed Friday as "Ovarian Cancer Awareness Day" in the City of Duluth, and the Aerial Lift Bridge and Enger Tower lighting will take place at dusk Saturday.
