MINNEAPOLIS - The Minnesota Vikings made a big announcement Friday about their new stadium. The team and the state authority overseeing construction announced that Minnesota firm Mortenson Construction will build the new stadium.
The Minneapolis firm will earn $12.5 million to build the downtown Minneapolis stadium, but its fee could reach $15 million if it meets certain performance incentives.
Mortenson also built the Twin's Target Field and the TCF Bank Stadium.
The new stadium is scheduled to be done by July 2016.
